According to an announcement made by Thailand's Total Access Communication Public Company Limited or commonly known as DTAC, Sigve Brekke will step in as the interim CEO of the company, taking over from Jon Eddy Abdullah following his resignation as the CEO of DTAC. DTAC said that Sigve will assume the role until a new CEO is appointed.
DTAC is the second largest mobile operator in Thailand, a country that boasts a population of more than 68 million. DTAC, which is owned by Telenor, says that it has the widest bandwidth in the country, as it is the only service provider operating on 3 frequencies - 1800 MHz, 2. 850 MHz and 3. 2100 MHz.
Sigve Brekke will continue his role as the Executive Vice President of Telenor Group and Head of Telenor's Asian Operations, added DTAC.
