Turkcell has launched voice and video calls to its IP-based messaging Over-the-Top(OTT) app, BiP. As part of the launch, the Operator is offering 1GB free data for its subscribers to enable them to enjoy the voice and video call features.

Turkcell said that BiP has been dowloaded more than 3.3 million times across 166 countries prior to the addition of the video and voice call features. It has also been launched in Germany and Northern Cyprus in Turkish language and will soon be launched in Ukraine and Belarus, in local languages and with local content.

In addition to the voice and video call options, BiP is also introducing a disappearing messages feature, apart from allowing users to create and share internet memes as well as stickers featuring cartoons designed by popular Turkish artist Erdil Yasaroglu.
