Mavenir Systems, a leading provider of software-based networking solutions, this week announced that Vodafone Germany has deployed its VoLTE application solution to launch the first commercially available VoLTE service in the European market. Vodafone Germany’s VoLTE solution adheres to the latest technology standards and includes complex integration with the traditional 3G network using eSR-VCC mobility procedures, and broad interoperability with the rapidly expanding VoLTE device ecosystem, according to Mavenir.
Mavenir’s virtualized VoLTE application solution consists of its IMS Telephony Application Server (TAS), Application Gateway (AGW) and Media Resource Function (MRF), which can be easily and flexibly integrated with Vodafone’s NFV and SDN strategy, the Telco over Cloud.
