Optus's enterprise division, Optus business has announced a three-year extension to an existing 5-year contract with specialist security provider Suretek for the delivery of 1345 Securecall services.

The extended contract, worth AU$40 million will see Suretek’s enterprise-class alarm service delivered via the Optus network through to the end of 2020.

Based in Sydney, Suretek develops security technology, including software, hardware, GPRS mobile communications monitoring systems and associated networks, security telecommunications solutions, and back-up and redundancy systems.

Optus secured its initial AU$60 million contract with Suretek in April 2013 to deliver fixed network and high-speed mobile services to the security technology company via its 3G and 4G networks.
