Telefónica UK, which operates as O2, has extended and expanded its relationship with Netcracker by signing a multiyear renewal, including an enterprise license for its Revenue Management solution.

O2, the second-largest mobile provider in the U.K supports 20 million subscribers in its retail and wholesale business lines using Netcracker software and services, said Netcracker. The continued Support & Maintenance services will allow O2 to scale smoothly and support the expansion in its customer base.

Netcracker said it has supported O2’s rapid growth and innovative offerings over the years and this expanded relationship with a revised license model and renewal of support and maintenance services will enable O2 to lock in savings.

This announcement is in addition to two other recent Revenue Management-related initiatives with Netcracker, including the world’s largest M2M smart metering initiative and a sophisticated partner revenue-share model that allows its customers to conduct transactions with third parties and have those charges directly added to their O2 phone bill.

Brendan O’Rourke, Chief Information Officer at O2
Netcracker’s Revenue Management system is our largest billing platform, which makes extending our relationship with Netcracker a logical choice in ensuring that as we continue to scale and deliver innovative offerings, our revenue management systems have the ability to scale and adapt to the needs of our business.

Yaniv Zilberman, Vice President of Sales and Account Management EMEA at Netcracker
O2 operates in a very fast-paced, dynamic market with rapidly changing customer expectations. As their strategic supplier in revenue management, we take seriously our responsibility in supporting and delivering the most converged, innovative and scalable solutions that enable O2’s digital transformation.
