SLA Digital announced that their first integration with Google Play is now live. With the integration, an existing global mobile operator partner of SLA Digital can leverage SLA’s proprietary Digital Services Platform to launch Carrier Billing on Google Play.

This new capability means that Google Play customers, using this operator’s network, can purchase digital content from games to apps and music without the need of credit or debit card details. Carrier Billing offers these customers a secure and convenient mobile payment solution allowing them to purchase digital content seamlessly by simply deducting the transaction from their prepaid phone credit or charging it to their post-paid phone bill.

SLA Digital expects further live operator connections to Google Play for Carrier Billing in the coming year, especially with the recent success of this live deployment.

Nic Stirk, CEO at SLA Digital
We are providing connectivity to a number of other app stores like Microsoft and Samsung via Carrier Billing and this announcement marks another strategic milestone for the company as we continue to launch Carrier Billing across Europe, the Middle East and Asia for both mobile operators and merchants alike.
