Telefónica Colombia, in partnership with Ericsson is deploying the country’s first commercial virtual network for voice over LTE(VoLTE) services. Ericsson will be providing its Cloud Manager, Ericsson Cloud Execution Environment and virtual network function IMS core to enable the commercial VoLTE service.

Telefónica has been present in Colombia since 2004, starting with activities in the mobile market and now providing voice, broadband, and pay television services to its 15.7 million Colombian subscribers.
