Qualcomm, Tuesday entered into separate 3G/4G patent license agreement with two Chinese smartphone makers, Tianyu and Haier. A day earlier, the San-Diego-based chipmaker entered into another similar agreement with Qiku, a leading Internet company in China, providing smartphones, the 360 Operating System and connected devices.
Under the terms of the agreements, Qualcomm will be paid royalties by these firms to manufacture and sell 3G WCDMA, CDMA2000 and 4G LTE that covers 3-mode GSM, TD-SCDMA and LTE-TDD subscriber units for use in China.
The latest patent license agreement follows Qualcomm's another patent deal sealed last month with the leading Chinese smartphone maker, Xiaomi.
