Italtel has joined the Intel Network Builders program to improve its proprietary products portfolio and enhance proposed network solutions. This is part of an overall project for refactoring its existing network products with the implementation of Virtualized Network Functions (VNFs) for its NetMatch Session Border Controller (SBC), IMS Core Suite, iRPS Routing and Policy Server and Embrace WebRTC solution.

Italtel’s collaboration with Intel Network Builders also aims to contribute to accelerating innovation in Software Defined Networking (SDN).

Earlier this year, Italtel supported Vodafone’s NFV and SDN strategy, called Telco over Cloud, and its implementation in Vodafone Germany via a partnership with Cisco, in a large network evolution program.

Federico Descalzo, Vice President and Chief Marketing Technology Officer at Italtel
The collaboration with the Intel ecosystem means we have access to the best available technologies. This is a great opportunity to accelerate the adoption and deployment of NFV and SDN solutions.
