StreamWIDE launches a Turnkey Local Break-Out (LBO) Data Roaming Solution for European Mobile Operators

Openet Openet

StreamWIDE, the specialist in next generation value-added telephony solutions for telecom operators launches a comprehensive solution enabling European Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) to comply with latest requirements from European Commission and Body of European Regulators of Electronic Communications (BEREC) for data roaming services unbundling in Europe, imposing compliancy with the Local Break-Out (LBO) method by July 2014.

With StreamWIDE solution, MNOs are able to sell data packages to visiting European tourists and businessmen with full compliance to the LBO method as defined by BEREC. Roamers select visiting operator network in their mobile settings and choose the EU Internet APN to be automatically directed to a credit-card payment portal. They are able to purchase volume or duration-based packages, cumulate recharges and even to purchase them in advance using an Internet-based web portal.

“MNOs can take advantage of the Local Break-Out regulation to monetize flow of roamers through data packages sales and surge of voice and sms roaming traffic routed through their networks. With July 2014 deadline approaching fast, opportunity is to be seized without waiting” commented Pascal Beglin, StreamWIDE CEO. “Delivering the service from a turnkey solution like StreamWIDE’s will end up much more profitable than implementing equivalent changes on legacy Billing and Information Systems” he added.
