Allot Communications, a leading supplier of service optimization and revenue generation solutions for fixed and mobile broadband operators and cloud providers worldwide, announced it has received a new multimillion dollar order from a U.S.-based, multinational cloud provider for its Deep Packet Inspection-enabled Service Gateway solution.  The solution which has built-in compatibility for cloud environments and combines granular traffic detection and reporting with real-time policy control will be deployed in multiple data centers worldwide. According to Allot, it is critical that the network resources needed to feed traffic to and from the cloud are constantly available and this is where a scalable solution that also enables cloud providers to constantly monitor and manage this traffic on a variety of levels, such as per customer, per customer branch office, and per application,  such as Allot Service Gateway becomes important in ensuring the end users enjoy highly reliable cloud-based business services.

“More and more enterprises are adopting a cloud approach to providing business applications. The Allot Service Gateway ensures that data and services will flow smoothly between the customers’ premises and the data centers, thus preventing congestion and ensuring quality of service,” said Vin Costello, President of the Americas for Allot Communications. “The fact that we provide a carrier class, scalable, and reliable solution was a particularly important factor in this win, allowing the customer plenty of room for future growth.”
