SK Broadband, the second largest telecommunication service provider in South Korea, providing Internet broadband, IPTV, and fixed-line telephony services in the country, has partnered with Aryaka, a leading WAN as-a-Service company to augment its enterprise networking capabilities to serve globally distributed enterprises. The partnership with Aryaka provides SKB customers with a cloud-based alternative to traditional enterprise long-haul private networking solutions. In addition, the partnership will enable SK Broadband to offer a number of enterprise services, including metro Ethernet, domestic and International Private Leased Lines (IPLC and MPLS), and data center co-location services.

The partnership will also provide SK Broadband with an extended global footprint, leveraging infrastructure assets within Aryaka's global network of distributed Points of Presence (POPs). The Operator will now have access to Aryaka's dedicated L2 private core network and accelerated access to data, application, and cloud services though regional POPs in Tokyo, Beijing, Shanghai, and Hong Kong as well as global POPs in locations such as San Jose, Chicago, Miami, Sau Paulo, Johannesburg, London, Dubai, and Bangalore.

ChangSeok Shin, Head of the Corporate Business Division, SK Broadband
As more businesses expand internationally, delivering applications and data quickly and reliably to their branch offices as well as remote and mobile users is no longer a luxury, but an absolute imperative. Our partnership with Aryaka ensures that SK Broadband meets and exceeds this need of our customers as they navigate through this new cloud-based economy.

Mark Fogel, VP of Global Service Provider Alliances for Aryaka
SK Broadband is one of the most forward-thinking networking providers in Asia. We are thrilled about this new partnership because it combines the innovation, technological assets, and entrepreneurial spirit of our two companies, as well as solving the business and technology challenges of our customers. APAC is a key strategic region for Aryaka, and we believe this partnership will help both Aryaka and SK Broadband serve a growing global customer base.
