Union Wireless Selects Interop Technologies Cloud-based VoWiFi Solution to Offer WiFi Calling Service

US regional carrier, Union Wireless has selected the Interop Technologies CorePlusXSM VoWiFi solution to offer WiFi calling service to subscribers throughout Wyoming, Colorado, and Utah. Interop Technologies which provides virtualized IP networks and next-generation communication solutions, said that the cloud-based solution, which supports native and downloadable WiFi calling clients on the latest Apple and Android devices, enables Union Wireless subscribers to make voice calls and send text messages across any available WiFi network.

VoWiFi is one of the five IP services of Interop’s CorePlusX suite, an infrastructure as a service (IaaS) offering that enables companies to rapidly deploy IMS, Voice-over-WiFi, Voice-over-LTE, Voice-over-LTE Roaming, and Rich Communication Services (RCS). Additionally CorePlusX provides Policy Control, Home Subscriber Service, and a Diameter Gateway to provide secure, centralized and high-performance advanced IP communications.

Eric Woody, CTO, Union Wireless
When evaluating VoWiFi options, Interop’s cloud-based solution was the clear choice. Not only will we be able to quickly and cost effectively bring WiFi calling to our market, but we’ll also be establishing a seamless path to IMS and VoLTE, thanks to the layered architecture of the CorePlusXSM product suite.

Ray Vinson, Product Manager, Interop Technologies
Enabling operators to meet the immediate demand for VoWiFi while simultaneously planning for future needs is a true point of differentiation for CorePlusXSM. Our standards-based CorePlusXSM suite is a complete, end-to-end solution that supports operators in quickly rolling out the services that meet their current market demands while laying the foundation for additional next-generation communication services.
