Telkomsel, the largest mobile operator in Indonesia, partnering with Huawei, has successfully demonstrated its 4G convergent communication service trial for WiFi Calling and VoLTE (Voice over LTE) based on NFV Technology (Network Function Virtualization) in Jakarta. Through these technologies, Telkomsel subscribers will be able enjoy newer services such as HD Voice and HD Video.
The demonstration also paves way for Telkomsel subcribers to seamlessly communicate using both 4G as well as the WiFi network without having their calls interrupted when they switch between 4G and WiFi.
