Accedian Networks, the Performance Assurance Solution Specialist this week announced the deployment of its network function virtualization (NFV)-powered virtual customer premises equipment (vCPE) solution across seven global service provider networks. TheSkyLIGHT™ VCX platform provides the ability for service providers to assure performance of hybrid cloud connections, while reducing hardware and operating costs, and most importantly, drive data center access revenue.
According to Accedian Networks, a total of seven global service providers are utilizing Accedian’s vCPE solution in production environments as part of their NFV strategy, including four mobile operators in Asia, Europe and the Middle East. The solution is also deployed in North America by two of the largest multi-service cable operators (MSOs) and a Tier-1 wireline carrier, said the company.

As Gartner has reported, more than 70 percent of Fortune 500 companies have shifted in-house IT infrastructures to public and private data centers, and the ability for service providers to continue to deliver the highest quality of service levels through reliable and cost effective measures is paramount. Our vCPE solution, combining the SkyLIGHT VCX and our miniaturized performance modules, fully addresses this need. It gives our customers the ability to support services over increasingly complex and hybrid environments, while simultaneously opening up new revenue opportunities with performance-differentiated services.
