Procera Networks, the global Subscriber Experience company, has announced the Procera Alliances Program, aimed at fostering mutually developed and integrated solutions that are jointly monetized and marketed to enterprises and network operators worldwide. The Alliances Program which consist of two main tracks - Solution Partners and Technology Partners - is not limited to network functions virtualization (NFV) solutions. It aims to meet the need within the vendor community for proven interoperability among complementary virtualized solutions in order to deliver on the promise of NFV.

According to Procera, for Solution Partners track, it will tackle pre-defined use cases, such as Virtual Consumer Premises Equipment (vCPE) and Mobile Policy Control, and involves Alliances with whom Procera collaborates to mutually develop and commercialize innovative, integrated solutions and services. One example of a solution in this category is Revenue Express, the industry’s first end-to-end turnkey Policy Control and Charging (PCC) solution built in collaboration with Openet. While, for Technology Partners, it comprises of hardware and platform vendor and NFV technology partners with whom Procera collaborates to ensure tested and certified interoperability and product functionality. Procera said that it has also pioneered the Market-Ready sales enablement tool for Technology Partners, as well as a Platform Configurator tool concept.

Virtualization opens new routes to market, but the vast number of niche NFV solutions in this new marketplace can cause confusion amongst potential buyers. For operators who are unsure about the first step to take toward embracing live NFV architecture, the Procera Alliances Program provides a step-by-step approach through pre-tested and pre-packaged solutions that work out of the box.
