After launching its second and largest Destination Store in Chicago's Magnificent Mile, Verizon Wireless will continue to roll out new retail stores - its Smart Stores - designed to provide customers a more convenient shopping experience as they shop for wireless devices and a range of other personalized services. Marking the rollout of its new concept stores was the launch of the Barry Towne 'Smart Store' in Barry Road, Kansas City on the 17th of December.
The 4,700-square-feet Barry Towne 'Smart Store' which was earlier planned to be located at the N.Madison Avenue boasts mobile lifestyle zones which include:
-
Get Fit Zone – for tracking healthy habits
-
Amplify It Zone – for music on-the-go
-
Have Fun Zone – for novel tech gadgets
-
Home and on the Go Zone – for home automation
According to Verizon Wireless, the Barry Towne 'Smart Store' will be followed by the conversion of its entire fleet of 1,700+ Communications Stores into similar Smart Stores over the next few years. The layout and sales interface provided by the new Smart Stores allow customers to engage with representatives and sales personnel more easily and will see the representatives using smart devices such as tablets to help with sales and services. Verizon Wireless also said that it has updated its contact and business services by integrating systems to make it easier for customers to reach all contact points and do business effortlessly.
