Rubrik yesterday announced that Rubrik Security Cloud - Government, purpose-built for public sector institutions to secure enterprise, cloud, and SaaS data to ensure mission continuity, is approved for StateRAMP Authorization. With this StateRAMP certification, Rubrik will help empower state, local, and educational institutions to boost cyber resilience and minimize the impact of cyberattacks with a single technology platform across enterprise, cloud, and SaaS.

For nearly a decade, Rubrik has helped keep data readily accessible to withstand cyberattacks by continuously monitoring for emergent threats and rapidly restoring impacted apps, files, or objects while containing threats. Hundreds of state and local governments nationwide rely on Rubrik, including the Lewis County Public Utility District, San Joaquin County, and South Louisiana Community College.

To date, Rubrik Security Cloud - Government has achieved:

“In Process” FedRAMP® status and attained security attestations for Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy and Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) security conformance.

3PAO Attestation of Compliance with the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) Secure Software Development Requirements as outlined in White House Executive Order 14028 on Improving the Nation’s Cybersecurity

Rubrik has a long history of securing data for federal, state, local governments and educational institutions. Over the past year, the company has continued showcasing its commitment to public and private sector collaboration. The company’s work includes the industry’s first $10 Million Ransomware Recovery Warranty offering for qualified customers, created in response to the call for more shared responsibility among technology companies and vendors in the face of cyber threats. Rubrik also formed a CISO Advisory Board, chaired by the first Director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), Chris Krebs, to identify emerging cybersecurity trends and formulate best practices to strengthen organizational security posture and resilience.

Anneka Gupta, Chief Product Officer at Rubrik

State governments are not exempt from nefarious cyber activity. In fact, they can be particularly enticing to bad actors due to the significant negative impact a cyber incident can have on these institutions, their citizens, and their limited cybersecurity resources. With StateRAMP certification, we help our government agency customers meet stringent security standards and stand up to modern cyber threats — rather than be taken down.
