Extended frequency L-Band RF over fiber links from ViaLite are being used by a high profile Satcoms operator in the USA for the high speed transport of ground station signals between its antennas and network operations centers.

The market-leading equipment has an expanded bandwidth from 950-2150 MHz to 700-2450 MHz, which allows more high-throughput satellite (HTS) signals to be sent over a single fiber.

The L-Band rack cards supplied are used with ViaLite’s 19” 3U chassis-based units that can accept 13 single or dual plug-in modules. Blind mating allows for rapid hot-swapping of cards that can be carried out in seconds to dramatically reduce downtime.

ViaLite was chosen for its prompt design efforts, high performance product characteristics and strong quality attributes not readily available by others in the RF over fiber market. It continues to receive best in class feedback as it continues to grow its market position in Satcom ground stations.
