The Flemish Institute for Technological Research (VITO) has chosen Proximus NXT as one of its preferred partners for the framework agreement “VITO ICT Infra 2023”, parcel “Network and Security”.

The designation is an important recognition for Proximus NXT, that has set itself the goal of assisting companies and public authorities, building on extensive technological expertise and a unique ecosystem of partners. The technological landscape is continuously changing, in many sectors and at an unprecedented rate. Companies and public organizations must innovate and transform to become more efficient, agile and customer-centric and, at the same time, guarantee continuity and security.

A comprehensive IT portfolio thanks to a unique mix of expertise and partnerships

Thanks to the new ICT framework agreement, all the Flemish public services and numerous health and educational institutions are able to call on Proximus’s IT portfolio with regard to network and cybersecurity. The agreement is open to, among other, the Flemish Parliament and the affiliated institutions, the Flemish Government and the ministers’ offices, the administrations of the Flemish Authority and the provincial administration. Local authorities, schools, universities and colleges as well as strategic research centers may also participate in the framework agreement, with VITO NV acting as central purchaser.

Proximus NXT stood out during the tendering process because of its extensive portfolio, allowing for products relating to network and security matters from more than 30 companies to be brought together in a comprehensive offer. Thanks to this cooperation with Belgian and international companies, combined with its internal talents, Proximus today is a leading player in various IT areas, from cybersecurity via cloud to networks and AI. In this way, the interested parties can receive support using a wide range of IT services, from the smallest to the most complex network and security solutions.

The framework agreement runs for a period of at least 4 years, with a possible extension of three further years. The initial value of the contract for the "Network & Security" package amounts to more than 56 million euros.
