Vodafone customers will be able to stream and connect wherever they are across the whole of the London Underground network. Travellers on the London Underground will soon be able to receive a 4G signal, no matter where they are – on the platform or in a tunnel.
Vodafone, which has been providing 4G service on the eastern end of the Jubilee Line from Westminster to Canning Town since early 2020, is partnering with Transport for London (TfL) and BAI Communications so its customers can take advantage of this new Tube-wide coverage.
Of the 129 underground stations and 192 tunnels not currently covered by any mobile signal, Bank, Oxford Circus, Tottenham Court Road, Euston, and Camden Town will be among the first to come online by the end of 2022. The 4G signal will reach not only ticket halls and platforms, but tunnels, too.
Vodafone will provide continuous 4G coverage to their customers across London Underground stations and tunnels and will be 5G ready.

BAI Communications, which is operating the 4G network on behalf of TfL, is responsible for similar networks on public transportation in Hong Kong, Toronto and New York.
