Ridge, a Boston-based cloud startup has launched a new comprehensive cloud solution — The Ridge Hybrid Cloud.

Using Ridge’s distributed cloud architecture, companies can now unify business-critical applications across all their locations (on-premise or managed locations operated by Ridge).

Workloads can easily be moved between environments and are managed through a single pane of glass. The majority of cloud deployments today are hosted through large public clouds, however, these often cannot handle the demands of applications that require deployment in underserved areas. Other applications — such as automated manufacturing, connected transportation, and digital health — depend on connectivity to on-premises servers. Through its worldwide MSP partners and its ability to integrate with existing on-prem virtualization systems, Ridge’s hybrid cloud ensures that infrastructure is never a limiting factor in meeting the needs of the business.

Ridge’s Hybrid Cloud joins its portfolio of cloud solutions that can be customized for specific throughput, locality, and commercial requirements. Ridge’s portfolio of cloud solutions leverages existing servers and runs application workloads on any IaaS, virtualization, or bare-metal machines. By leveraging existing infrastructures and avoiding the creation of new facilities, Ridge introduces infinite and sustainable new cloud services.

The Company has raised $22 million in early stage funding in January this year as the cloud computing company aims to scale up its operations and technology platform.

More and more businesses are discovering that in order to deploy their modern applications they need to overlay cloud-native building blocks across multiple locations — and on any kind of infrastructure. Ridge enables them to easily expand their footprint, with no need for installation, and without any latency or data residency roadblocks.
