Squire Technologies this week announced a new partnership with Solomon Telekom Company to deliver a leading SMS solution that will enable better and more flexible communication services in the region.

Telecommunication infrastructure in the Solomon Islands remains challenging to rural connectivity due to the geographical make-up of the islands. Although various international organisations have taken a special interest in having communication services improved in both the Solomon Islands and the Pacific region in general, mobile phone connectivity rates remain approximately half that of Europe.

Our Telekom have been the primary Solomon Island telecom operator in the region since 1988 and they are committed to delivering affordable and reliable connectivity to local communities. They continue to be the leader in community sponsorship and support, with assistance in various forms reaching all sectors including sport, music, health, education, churches, and communities throughout the Solomon Islands.

Collaboration with technology specialists ensures that Our Telekom continues to drive forward the delivery of their communication services to benefit all Solomon Islanders and the local economy. The partnership with Squire Technologies will see the delivery of ongoing network modernisation, reliability, and a better user experience.

Our Telekom Senior Telecommunications Engineer, Joseph Maneipuri
We were looking for a proven messaging solution which is why we selected Squire Technologies. Their industry experience and product flexibility makes them our ideal partner.

Sales Manager, Ben Teversham
Squire Technologies is proud to support Our Telekom in further delivering value added services in the Solomon Islands. We look forward to collaborating with the Our Telekom team in the deployment of our leading SMS solution.
