Turkcell has partnered with Ericsson for the deployment of Ericsson Diameter Signaling Controller using automation on the Turkcell network.

The deployment, which includes Ericsson products, services, and training, has been successfully completed in 2021.

The solution has been deployed swiftly and efficiently by using Ericsson Automated Acceptance Tests (AAT) tool and Ericsson Evolved Virtual Network Functions (EVNFM) that reduced the duration of life cycle management operations like onboarding, upgrading, scale out/in, healing etc. and attained a shorter time-to-market.

Ericsson Diameter Signaling Controller optimizes the throughput of the network, offers best-in-class security, and offers a more robust signaling network architecture. It also improves the use of networks during peak traffic times, through load balancing and overload protection mechanisms.

With the Ericsson Diameter Signaling Controller, Turkcell benefits from enhanced performance, scalability, and interoperability of its 4G signaling network and for voice over LTE (VoLTE) services.

Dr.Gediz Sezgin, Chief Technology Officer at Turkcell
Signaling is a critical function for the network. We are committed to continuously evolve our network to meet the demands of our subscribers efficiently and cater to the growth in traffic. It is important for us to be robust, agile and scalable to provide the best customer experience to consumers in Turkey and we are confident that Ericsson’s solution will meet our ambitions.

Işıl Yalçın, Vice President and Head of Ericsson Turkey at Ericsson Middle East and Africa
We have been a long-standing strategic partner of Turkcell for many years and jointly we have been powering the mobile networks in Turkey and achieving many innovations together. Turkcell’s selection of Ericsson for this key piece of core network signaling infrastructure demonstrates their continued confidence in our technology and in our strategic partnership.
