Orange Mali Chooses Volubill for Policy Management

Openet Openet

Volubill, a leading provider of real-time policy control and charging software, announced that Orange Mali has chosen the company’s Volubill Business System (VBS) for the policy and charging of all supported services.

Processing approximately 8.6 million active pre-paid subscribers, mobile data and mobile broadband have developed rapidly since the May, 2010 launch of 3G. The new platform will provide better reactivity for Orange Mali due to a GUI driven architecture. This will enable IT and Marketing to avert conflict and create new packaged offerings in shorter timeframes.

Ben McCafferty, VP EMEA said, “Orange Mali’s fast growing subscriber base requires a solution flexible enough to scale with the business. The launch of Orange Money in 2010, which allows users to carry out financial transactions from their cell phones, was only the start of a growing trend in mobile data usage. At the end of last year the service had over more than 673,000 customers and this, and other services like it, need a reliable best of breed policy and charging solution which we can supply.”
