Hillstone Networks, a leading provider of infrastructure protection solutions, recently announced telecommunications services company Telconet Latam has selected Hillstone to meet its CGNAT (carrier-grade network address translation) needs.

CGNAT technology helps businesses scale network bandwidth as needed, helping preserve scarce public IP addresses. Large telecoms rely on the most advanced enterprise features to help secure and scale networks.

Telconet sought a solution that would optimize the use of IPv4 addresses through CGNAT, with controlled port mapping and data storage for monitoring and statistics. The mandate was for a modular design to facilitate large traffic volume for its main data centers, and to accommodate future growth.

Hillstone’s X-Series data center firewall recognized in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Firewalls now for eight consecutive years, integrated with CGNAT capabilities, successfully performs all CGNAT functions, solving the existing challenges with the ability to expand. The solution offers complete log visibility and monitoring capabilities for the infrastructure, along with enterprise-grade security.

The Hillstone X-Series delivers a robust suite of carrier-grade network defenses for data centers, including attack defense with flood attack protection, granular application control, advanced intrusion protection, botnet protection, URL filtering, antivirus and more.

Tim Liu, co-founder & CTO, Hillstone Networks
We have set a new standard in performance, reliability, scalability and total cost of ownership with our latest data center firewall. We’re proud to be the solution of choice for Telecom Latam and are confident that our solution will continue to meet their future growth.

Carlos Montero, networking manager, Telconet Latam
Hillstone is a stable technology for CGNAT environments, and the integration with NGFWs offer a strong set of security features. Deployment has been seamless, and the technical support has been superior and efficient.
