UK-based MVNO Truphone, the world’s first global mobile network and SIM software pioneer, has secured a long-term partnership agreement with BT Wholesale covering MVNO access services.

With the five-year agreement in place, Truphone customers will have access to EE’s leading geographic reach. This was demonstrated by Ofcom’s most recent Connected Nations report which showed EE covers more than 86 per cent of the UK landmass with 4G coverage.

That’s 2,500 square miles more than its nearest competitor. EE, part of BT Group, also continues to be the UK’s leading mobile network operator in terms of network performance, recently winning “best network in the UK” for the 17th consecutive time with the UK’s best 4G and 5G network, according to RootMetrics. EE’s 5G network is in more places than any other network in the UK with the ambition to offer 5G everywhere in the UK by 2028.

With this powerful new partnership in place, Truphone customers will soon see even faster connectivity across even more locations, with greater network performance than ever.

Truphone CEO Ralph Steffens
We’re incredibly excited to partner with BT Wholesale, the clear market leader in the UK, on this important relationship in one of our core mobile markets. It’s fantastic to be able to offer our customers the scale and reliability of BT’s network and we are really looking forward to all the opportunities this partnership will afford us.

Alex Tempest, Managing Director, BT Wholesale
Alongside Truphone’s success in Enterprise mobile, we have been particularly impressed with Truphone’s capability and ambitions in IoT. Customers have an ever-increasing focus on network experience and we’re proud that Truphone has recognised the value of our network and our ongoing investment as we continue with plans to provide 5G everywhere in the UK by 2028.
