Telstra Wholesale Launches New Network Configuration Tool

Telstra Wholesale Launches New Network Configuration Tool Image Credit: Telstra

Telstra has reconfigured its network, lighting up the opportunity for Wholesale customers to now connect to a total of 110,000 business premises, with no extra infrastructure build required.

The release of the new Unified Access capability means ethernet products are now available on most managed NTU (Network Termination Units) on Telstra’s fibre network. For Ethernet Access over 50,000 additional devices are already in place. For Wholesale Business Internet over 30,000 additional devices are now in place.

The new capability also enables customers to move their services from one Wholesale product to another more seamlessly than ever before.

Telstra customers may also benefit from increased efficiency and opportunities to provide services more quickly, to more sites, reducing the likelihood of commercial work and fee-for-service costs required for additional truck roll and cabling.

Qualification of new sites in the expanded network is available from today in Telstra Wholesale’s quoting tools for Wholesale Business Internet and Ethernet Access products.

This new network configuration which we’re calling Unified Access unleashes the potential of our assets by extending access across Telstra’s entire network, making it easier and more cost effective for Wholesale customers to switch on more end user customers, fast and most often with no upfront charges. Telstra Wholesale is excited to serve as many businesses with fibre as possible and now with 110,000 connected business addresses on Telstra’s fibre network, that opportunity is bigger than ever for our customers.
