GENBAND Joins Intel® Network Builders Program to Expand NFV

GENBAND , a leading developer of multimedia and cloud communications solutions, Tuesday announced that it has joined the Intel® Network Builders program, a cross-industry initiative which is focused on providing an ecosystem to make it easier to build, enhance, and operate SDN/NFV-based infrastructure, while lowering capital and operating expenditures.

The Intel® Network Builders ecosystem encourages collaboration among members and seeks to increase ecosystem alignment, leading to the design of world-class solutions.

According to GENBAND, its NFV solutions, which span its Virtual Network Functions (VNF) portfolio including Session Border Control and Session Routing applications, fully support the key elasticity, scalability and orchestration tenets for cloud and virtualized environments as specified by various standards bodies.

"NFV provides telecom operators with dramatic reductions in operational and capital expenditures, as well as enables them to significantly decrease time-to-market for new and compelling real-time communications services. We are delighted to join the Intel Network Builders program and help accelerate NFV market solutions that will enable operators to effectively evolve their networks to gain service velocity and maintain their dominant position in the communications value chain.”

-     B.G. Kumar, Chief Product Officer at GENBAND

"Our goal is to help operators realize the benefits of NFV by working with leading technology providers, so we welcome GENBAND to the Intel Network Builders program. By fostering collaboration, the Intel Network Builders program seeks to increase ecosystem alignment, leading to the design of world-class solutions.”

-      Renu Navale, Manager of the Intel Network Builders program
