Samsung on Tuesday announced its new C-Band solutions portfolio, developed to help U.S. mobile operators deliver advanced 5G service in the mid-band spectrum.

The lineup is designed to support operators as they leverage C-Band to deliver high performance in outdoor and indoor environments and expand coverage of their networks.

Additionally, Verizon has announced the deployment of Samsung’s C-Band Massive MIMO radios to speed the development of its 5G Ultra Wideband and fixed wireless broadband service on its recently acquired C-Band spectrum. Samsung’s C-Band Massive MIMO radio – a key part of the new portfolio – is commercially available, and thousands of units have already been shipped to the U.S.

Samsung’s C-Band portfolio includes the company’s previously introduced Massive MIMO Radio and Indoor 5G Solutions – which will now be expanded to support C-Band – as well as a new Outdoor Radio, Micro Radio and C-Band Network Optimization Tools.
