Ranplan Wireless on Monday announced the release of Ranplan Device Hub (D-HUB), a vendor-neutral network device and component management platform, built specifically for the cloud to meet the needs of telecom operators, equipment manufacturers and system integrators.

D-HUB, accessed through a secure web interface, offers a platform where new devices can be created and kept up-to-date throughout their lifecycle. D-HUB promotes collaboration by simplifying access, facilitating distribution and increasing control over devices and network components available to users of Ranplan’s suite of planning solutions.

Equipment manufacturers can use D-HUB to easily create and model devices themselves to ensure accurate representation and performance. Access to components can be restricted, requiring users to request permission for use in projects. D-HUB increases cost effectiveness and facilitates maintenance of modelled device and component libraries through its centralised approach.Telecom operators benefit from more accurate results and quicker project turnaround time. D-HUB seamlessly interoperates with other Ranplan solutions and as such fully supports 5G New Radio (NR), including the full range of frequencies, and true 3D propagation modelling of Massive MIMO antennas.System integrators and design houses gain easy access to up-to-date information on all accredited components, including their availability (inventory positions) and capabilities (performance metrics).

Dr Hui Song, CTO of Ranplan Group AB
D-HUB is an important addition to our cloud-based ecosystem, providing seamless integration with Ranplan Professional. This gives users direct access to the latest devices with up-to-date information.
