AT&T on Wednesday announced that it has expanded its 5G in 90 new markets across the U.S. – including Chicago, New Orleans, Sacramento, Seattle and Tampa.

The Operator's 5G expansion is based on 850MHz low-band spectrum which will enable wider coverage than existing 5G networks. AT&T claims that its 5G network now covers more than 120 million people in the U.S. With the expansion, AT&T now offers access to 5G on its unlimited wireless plans for consumers and businesses in a total of 190 markets in the U.S.

Additionally, the Operator offers access to its 5G+ (mmWave) network, enabling super-fast speeds and responsive connections in parts of 35 cities.

Chris Sambar, EVP of Technology Operations
