O2 UK has partnered with AirConsole, a Swiss gaming console company to offer a month of free AirConsole Hero to all its Priority Customers.

As the lockdown continues in the UK, O2 has decided to provide the UK with a "Beat the Boredom" program to help everyone cope with these challenging times.

AirConsole is a cloud based video game console that is accessible from every home using a computer or a smart TV. Smartphones are used as gamepads so that anyone can play without buying additional hardware.

The platform provides a casual and social gaming experience, reminding users of the fun nights playing on traditional consoles, such as Nintendo 64 or Nintendo Wii. With AirConsole, long lockdown days can be spent popping balloons, racing crazy monsters or even fighting in a magma pit. And once the kids are tucked up, parents can unwind with Never Have I Ever, or even Cards Against Humanity, which we predict might lead to a few less-than-tuneful rounds of AirConsole Karaoke.

Phillip Peacock, Head of Partnership, O2 Priority
During challenging times for our customers we wanted to continue to add value to their lives, giving them something fun to do whilst in isolation.

Scott McGregor, Innovation Lead, O2
We're fans of the innovative and hardware-free concept of AirConsole. It instantly provides the whole household a moment of fun and distraction during this difficult time.
