TDC Group announced that its infrastrcuture arm TDC NET has opened a 5G pilot project in Helsingør, a port city in eastern Denmark as part of a strategic partnership with Ericsson.

The 5G pilot project in Helsingør involves 40 masts and is the most comprehensive pilot project for TDC NET and the largest of its kind in Denmark to date. As part of the project, the city's citizens will have the opportunity to test the possibilities themselves on the mobile network of the future.

TDC NET and Ericsson entered into a strategic partnership earlier this year to build the 5G infrastructure for TDC's nationwide mobile network in Denmark. The new mobile technology ensures that Danish customers, companies and communities will benefit from future experiences, services and the many opportunities that 5G brings.

Andreas Pfisterer, CEO, TDC NET
Communities with a strong infrastructure are doing better - both socially and economically. Denmark is a good example of this.

Arun Bansal, President of Europe and Latin America, Ericsson
Ericsson is leading the way to 5G in Europe, and we are excited to work with partners like TDC NET to ensure that their customers also benefit from leadership and expertise.
