EE announced it has switched on 5G in 14 new cities and towns across the UK, following the launch in May in London, Edinburgh, Belfast, Cardiff, Birmingham and Manchester.

EE has added 5G to Castlereagh, Guildford, Hamilton, Harlow, Hoddesdon, Kimberley, Lisburn, Maidstone, Sydenham, Watford and Wolverhampton, and has switched on its first 5G sites in Liverpool, Glasgow and Huddersfield to bring the best mobile experience to more places.

As well as covering new cities and large towns, EE has also brought 5G to more high footfall places, including Bristol Parkway, Cardiff Castle, and London’s Carnaby Street and Camden Market.

EE switched on the UK’s first 5G network in May 2019. Since then, EE has focused on connecting some of the UK’s busiest places to 5G, and has built 5G coverage across more than 60% of London.
