HUAWEI Mobile Services (HMS) at a recent industry event introduced the HUAWEI AppGallery as an alternative mobile app market that allows for apps to be better discovered in a highly saturated game app market.

The AppGallery which was launched last year comes pre-loaded on HUAWEI smartphones since the launch of the HUAWEI P20 series last year. Powered by HUAWEI’s very own Kirin 980, a 7nm Mobile AI Chipset, and GPU Turbo 3.0, gamers can enjoy lower power consumption, improved touch responses, reduced frame drops and increased gaming performance.

Furthermore, HMS has recently opened 51 services open capabilities and 885 APIs to developers worldwide in the hopes of building an intelligent ecosystem across all scenarios. To date, there are more than 910,000 registered developers on HMS.  For mobile games, HMS offers game SDK and ‘Wrapper’ for game developers. The open resources and assistance from the HUAWEI engineer team will ease the development and integration process to ensure cost-effectiveness and faster time to market.

The AppGallery opened its service to the global market last year. AppGallery’s less saturated environment for easier game discovery can benefit game developers who are looking for ways to drive downloads. Moreover, they could leverage on HMS’ increasing market share to reach over 530 million global users across 170 countries.
