EE Partners MobileIron to Offer Hosted Security Solution for 4G SMB Customers

EE partners MobileIron to offer hosted business-grade security across all mobile operating systems in its corporate plans. As part of EE's Super Secure 4GEE portfolio, the solution, MobileIron Cloud provides businesses the ability to securely manage access to company data, business applications and content on any mobile device.

Businesses are able to configure and selectively manage mobile apps, content and devices, automatically enforce usage policies, and retire mobile devices when they are lost or when an employee leaves the company. User enrolment and device configuration are automated so employees can set up a mobile device for themselves.

According to MobileIron, users can also choose mobile apps from MobileIron Cloud's app catalogue for tasks such as expense reporting, travel booking, collaborative working and customer relationship management. These can be either commercially available apps or custom-made apps developed by the business.

"Security is essential if businesses want to become genuinely mobile without putting sensitive company data at risk. With partners like MobileIron, we've developed a portfolio of mobile security solutions that make it easier to manage mobile devices regardless of the operating system each device is running."

- Gerry McQuade, Chief Marketing Officer for Business, EE

"Small and medium businesses face many of the same challenges as larger enterprises; they need to securely deliver files and apps, and manage employee devices. Whether organisations are most interested in data and device security or whether they want to deliver content and apps to their users, EE has a solution to suit."

- Nigel Hawthorn, EMEA Marketing Director, MobileIron
