Thundercomm, a leading provider of smart device hardware and software, technologies, and services, has teamed up with Microsoft, to introduce an Azure IoT certified "plug and play" Thundercomm TurboX Asset Tag device.

This asset tag device allows customers to locate, record and conduct data for asset tracking with on-demand frequency and extremely low power consumption. The TurboX Asset Tag includes a multimode cellular IoT core module developed by Thundercomm. This module is based on Qualcomm chipset platform. Built-in Global Navigation Satellite System, which supports GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and Beidou, and Wi-Fi module realize geolocation indoor and outdoor. The device supports LTE-M and NB-IoT connectivity, ultra-low power consumption and low-bandwidth networks allows the device gather and process data at the edge then send important and effective information to cloud directly, making the whole process cost-effective and easy to use.

After certified by Microsoft Azure IoT, solution developers or customers can deploy the devices into their IoT projects and manage the information through Azure IoT Cloud without writing a single line of codes.

With increasing demands for high-value property inventory with positioning, tracking and managing in the industries such as logistics, medical, electrical and luxury, TurboX Asset Tag is an ideal solution to help simplify and overcome the complexity faced with IoT project development as well as improve processes by optimizing the efficiency and utilization of enterprise assets, said Thundercomm.
