Etisalat has signed an agreement with Aicent, a leading IPX provider of data network services and solutions for global mobile operators for LTE roaming, enabling its subscribers to have voice and data seamless roaming between international operator networks. The partnership enables Etisalat to automatically access a larger number of global mobile operators and also allows them to quickly launch next generation services via a single connection to Aicent. 

According to Aicent, its market leading IPX allows network operators and service providers to offer their customers IP-based voice, data and video services on 3G and 4G networks traversing multiple operators in a highly controlled, secure and profitable manner, all with guaranteed QoS. 

Ali Amiri, Executive Vice President, Carrier & Wholesale, Etisalat said: "We are pleased to be entering an agreement with Aicent that will benefit both companies with combined multiservice IPX offerings enhancing our respective customers mobile roaming experience. Etisalat SmartHub IPX is a strategic addition to the Etisalat SmartHub portfolio enhancing our role as a global communication hub. Operators joining the SmartHub IPX will have access to the Aicent community and vice versa, providing a single point of interconnect."
