Conviva, the leader in video analytics, delivery optimization and big data processing, and NexStreaming, the leader in mobile player SDKs, have extablised a partnership that will help content owners and publishers easily deliver the best digital media viewing experience on Android-powered mobile devices and televisions. The partnership pre-integrates Insights, Conviva’s powerful analytics platform, into NexStreaming’s NexPlayer SDK for Android. Digital media publishers using the NexPlayer can bypass the integration step for Insights, and have immediate access to Conviva’s real-time data set. Conviva’s Insights not only allows them to receive alerts and immediately take action when there is degradation to quality, but also allows them to determine Quality of Experience (QoE) for their viewers and how it is impacting viewer engagement.

By making Conviva’s granular data and analytics technology native to the NexStreaming player, online video publishers wanting to deliver high-quality content to Android devices can accelerate the integration process, according to Conviva. It adds that this pre-integration streamlines deployment to devices running the most widely utilized operating system for mobile.

With Conviva and NexStreaming joining together, content publishers will be able to easily learn exactly how their valuable content is performing across Android devices,” said Dr. Diego Dugatkin, vice president of new products and partnerships at Conviva. “Conviva knows that viewers expect a high-quality experience every time they click play, and the key to delivering on that expectation is the Intelligent Control Platform that only Conviva provides.”

“We are pleased to now offer Conviva’s detailed analytics and expertise to our customers,” said Carlos Lucas, vice president and general manager of Europe and North America at NexStreaming. “With an increasing number of viewers turning to mobile devices for video consumption, it is critical to the content publishers to have data that provides a view into the mobile viewing experience. Working with Conviva, the world leader in QoE, is the best way to ensure our customers get the best information about their video experience, along with the ability to optimize it.”
