Aptilo Networks has launched a Aptilo Guest Wi-Fi Cloud, a cloud service designed for multi-site businesses or for large deployments in e.g. shopping malls, smart cities and stadiums. The new solution is based on the Aptilo Service Management Platform.

According to Aptilo, administrators of Aptilo Guest Wi-Fi Cloud can obtain powerful insights into how their Wi-Fi service is being used. The actionable Wi-Fi analytics also include user demographics retrieved from login through social media.

This data can be used for hyper-targeted marketing campaigns. The captive portal manager is designed so that anyone, even someone with zero knowledge of web design, can update selected content. It is just a matter of uploading graphics and adding text. This easy and dynamic modification capability makes the captive portal an effective and up-to-date user engagement tool.

Aptilo said that typically when reselling a guest Wi-Fi service, resellers must create one Wi-Fi account for each customer, and each account would have its own fees including startup fees. With Aptilo Guest Wi-Fi Cloud, resellers have the option to sign up for one account and administer all of their customers under that one umbrella. Resellers have full control and visibility of all of their customer accounts from one platform, added Aptilo.
