The RCS is a GSM Association (GSMA) backed starndard that leverages an IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) network to offer communication beyond traditional SMS and MMS. In addition to messaging, it brings whole new lot of features, including location sharing, screen sharing between devices, and also contact presence sharing. Jibe Mobile customers include U.S.-based Sprint and leading European carriers Deutsche Telekom, Vodafone, KPN, and SFR.
