Atlanta-based Cox Communications, Thursday announced that it has acquired tele-health firm, Trapollo. With the acquisition, Cox aims to bring world-class healthcare to the home through innovative telehealth and home health solutions. Trapollo provides managed services that enable healthcare providers, home health agencies and insurers to successfully deploy telehealth and remote health monitoring solutions.  

Based in Sterling, Virginia, Trapollo designs, deploys and manages large scale nationwide telehealth and remote health monitoring programs for chronic disease management, independent living, and employer health and wellness programs. Earlier this year, Cox announced the formation of Vivre Health, a strategic alliance with Cleveland Clinic, and an investment in HealthSpot, a pioneer in patient and provider driven telehealth technology.
