Logicalis Buys 51% in Wi-Fi Experience Enabler ITUMA GmbH

Logicalis Group, the international IT solutions and managed services provider, Tuesday announced that it has acquired a 51% shareholding in ITUMA, a German privately owned company focused on Wi-Fi enabled-services such as 3D in-location navigation, product and service offerings access, product promotions and omni-channel retail ordering to their customers.

According to a news release, Logicalis gains exclusive access to ITUMA Wi-Fi experience platform to drive Omni-Channel market penetration and the joint venture operation will focus on offering "Wi-Fi experience as a service" portfolio to commercial, public sector and education customers.

ITUMA's Wi-Fi software provides consumers in customer's premises with Wi-Fi enabled-services such as indoor navigation, product information, location and offers, using organisations' existing or dedicated internal Wi-Fi infrastructure, providing users with rich, real and relevant digital journeys.

"ITUMA's offering bridges the gap between the online and onsite experience, allowing customers such as retailers, shopping malls, stadia, universities and transport hubs to offer consumers a rich and seamless omni-channel experience. Logicalis' main strategic objective in acquiring a majority share is to obtain exclusive rights to the Wi-Fi offering, which is expected to achieve significant market penetration, driven off the back of customers' existing investment in wireless infrastructure, or new investments in pre-packaged managed and cloud services."

-         Mark Rogers,  President and COO, Logicalis Group

"This partnership allows a proven and successful service offering to achieve significant market penetration through Logicalis' international presence and their wealth of experience in IT solutions and managed services. I am extremely pleased that ITUMA is now connected to one of the most innovative companies in the enterprise mobility space, and excited about the opportunity of taking the ITUMA story to Logicalis' companies and customers around the world at a time when mobile experiences are becoming critical to so many industry sectors."

-        Simon Marg, ITUMA's CEO
