Huawei has revealed its financial results for 2015, reporting 33% higher net profits which rose to US$5.7 billion. Huawei said that its Carrier, Enterprise, and Consumer Business Groups all achieved strong year-on-year(YoY) growth. The three business groups generated a total of US$60.8 billion in annual revenue worldwide, an increase of 37% compared to a year before.
Of the amount, the Carrier segment generated US$35.8 billion in annual revenue, which was contributed by the widespread rollout of 4G networks, while the Enterprise segment generated US$4.3 billion.
A major highlight of the company's performance last year was the contribution of US$19.9 billion in annual revenue by its Consumer segment, marking an increase of 73% YoY. This increase was a direct result of increased demand for smartphones and other smart devices. This puts Huawei as the third-largest smartphone maker by shipments behind Samsung Electronics and Apple.

In part, Huawei owes its long-term growth to the sheer size of the ICT market, which is the driving force of digital economies around the world. However, our growth is also a direct result of strategic focus and heavy investment in our core businesses.
