Leading mobile operator in Switzerland, Sunrise plans to offer LTE Advanced (4G+) service which is touted to provide customers speeds of up to 300 Mbit/s beginning from June this year.

Sunrise said that a large portion of its subscribers who are currently subscribed to its Freedom plan will be able to enjoy unlimited surfing with 4G+. Subscribers to the plan will also be provided price reductions on their 4G+ roaming packages which will allow them to get the best performance for their money when they travel. According to Sunrise, subscription to Freedom plans comes with no minimum contract tenure.

Sunrise has deployed the 4G+ network in some of the largest cities in the country and plans to cover urban areas with the upgrade by the end of this year. The operator claims that it has recently strengthened the mobile network and is providing more than 98% of population with LTE/4G access.
