Google Starts Rollout of Free High Speed WiFi in India

Search giant, Google has started rolling out free high speed WiFi service in India with an initial deployment at the Mumbai Central railway station. Google partnered with RailTelIndian state-owned company that has built a network of fiber-optic lines along most major rail tracks across the country.

Google Access & Energy team which undertakes the implementation of the project plans to deploy one of the largest public WiFi network in the world to cover 400 train stations, with 100 set to be completed by the end of the year.
