The second  largest mobile operator in the US, AT&T announced in a blog post that it now has over 27 million active subscribers on VoLTE. AT&T which introduced the service to its subscribers last year, said that its  VoLTE network covers more than 295 million Americans.

At the same time, the operator has also been working with Verizon and other operators to establish VoLTE interoperability between their LTE networks. "I’m pleased to report this month we saw the first VoLTE exchange between our customers and another carrier in limited, select areas," states AT&T's Bill Smith. "We’re working with others on this same feature, too."
