Reliance Jio Infocomm has expanded its Jio Chat instant messaging app to eight more countries – Canada, US, Britain, United Arab Emirates, South Africa, Singapore, Australia, China, enabling users to download Jio Chat and chat with friends and family across these countries. The operator launched the app in India early this year, as it prepares for its nationwide 4G service rollout.
The app which is available on Android and iOS devices enables users to share location, create and share doodles, stickers and emoticons, in addition to standard Over-the-Top (OTT) features such as messaging, voice calling, video chat, conferencing and audio notes. It also boasts some advanced features such as HD quality video calls, audio conferencing, group chats and rich text features such as file sharing and photo/video sharing.
