Vodafone India has introduced a special plan for the upcoming Diwali festive season in the country - ‘One Rate, One South’ pack - for its pre-paid customers in five states across the Southern part of the country. The plan allows Vodafone prepaid customers to enjoy standard call rates and be free from roaming charges as well charges for incoming call across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka. With the pack, all outgoing mobile calls - local, STD and Roaming - will be charged at 1 paisa per second from anywhere in South India, said the operator.
Vodafone said that this pack would benefit its 35 million prepaid customers across the five states. They can also use a single number without worrying about the roaming charges. In addition, all Vodafone subscribers will be able to send e-greetings and e-messages to wish their friends and family on Diwali for free.

To avoid incurring roaming charges, most of them tend to use dual or multiple SIMs. Having closely studied these customer usage patterns, Vodafone has designed the ‘One rate, One South’ pack for the benefit of 35 million Vodafone prepaid customers across the five states, empowering them to use one number, without worrying about any roaming rates.
